Meet the Founder – Andries
I was born and raised in South Africa, where adventure was never a hobby—it was a way of life. I grew up in the bushveld, on the water, and in the mountains. That lifetime of experience continues to shape Sandline today.
My background includes lifelong hunting and a deep knowledge of African wildlife, tracking, and ethical hunting practices. As a 5-Star CMAS Dive Instructor, I bring experience in planning and leading underwater expeditions. I have summited Mount Kilimanjaro, gaining firsthand knowledge of high-altitude trekking and mountain logistics. I have also competed and trained as a professional golfer in Africa and the United States, and spent years fishing for game fish and tiger fish in African waters.
These experiences guide how we plan each journey, choose our partners, and care for the places we explore. They are the foundation of Sandline’s commitment to authenticity, professionalism, and thoughtful preparation.
